Since Andi's weight gain has been, according to our pediatrician, "incredible", we got the all-clear to let her wake up on her own to feed at night last week. So, we did just that. All week, she still woke up every 3 hours on the dot. But then, something miraculous happened last night. It was like Moses parting the Red Sea...she slept for two, four-hour stretches!!!! Hallelujah!!
I fed her at 10pm and she slept til 2:30am. Fed her at 2:30 and she woke up at 6:30am.
It's truly is amazing how one extra hour of sleep makes ALL the difference in the world when you're sleep deprived.
As of last week, she weighed 7.5lbs and 19 1/2 inches. Still teeny tiny but a HUGE weight gain since our last visit (a pound in about a week.)
We also gave her her first bottle last week and she did great with it. Sucked it right down. She's eating almost 3oz now at each feeding.
She also is now in size 1 diapers. Sniff. They grow so fast.
She also had her first cold last week. She still has congestion which breaks my heart. Hate hearing her gasp for air. :(

That belly.

Dean got in to our first choice of school for Pre-k this week. Yes! Pre-k!!! It's crazy we will be starting in the fall. She misses the cut off by 6 days so she will be the youngest in her class. She's so ready for school. I know she will love it!! They just built a brand new, state of the art elementary behind our neighborhood. She talks about it all the time so she's so excited to begin.
